Yury Rozanov has died

On 2 March, sports commentator Yury Rozanov died at the age of 59.

Yury Albertovich began working on television for NTV-Plus. In 1996, he became one of the winners of the first competition of commentators. Since 2015, he had been a commentator for Match TV. He mainly commented on football and hockey matches, including many games of the Russian Premier Liga.

Yuri Albertovich is the winner of the TEFI award in the category "Best Sports Commentator/Sports Program Host". The award was presented to Rozanov and Sergey Krab for their commentary of the final of the 2011 IIHF World U-20 Championship between the national teams of Canada and Russia.

The Russian Premier Liga expresses its sincere and deep condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Yury Albertovich.

The RPL matchday 21 fixtures will begin with a minute's silence in memory of Yury Albertovich.
