Salomon Rondon inspired CSKA to a comfortable win to strengthen their hold on their Champions League place. The Venezuelan striker opened his account for the Armymen from the penalty spot shortly before half time, moments after having hit the post. After the break his header set up Nikola Vlasic to double the hosts' advantage. 

CSKA stay second on 40 points, while Akhmat are still 11th on 26 points.
