Reziuan Mirzov scored his sixth goal in 11 appearances for Khimki - equalling his best season tally, set two years ago at Arsenal Tula - to set the visitors on the way to victory. Khimki raced into a commanding lead inside half an hour as Pavel Mogilivets' first goal for the club doubled the advantage. 

Djordje Despotovic pulled one back on the stroke of half time, but Ilya Kukharchuk restored the lead with 15 minutes remaining. 

Rubin stay eighth on 37 points, while Khimki go ninth on 35 points.
