Zhemaletdinov stunner seals fifth win on the bounce for Lokomotiv

Rifat Zhemaletdinov set up Grzegorz Krychowiak to draw first blood midway through the first half to set Lokomotiv on the way to a fifth straight win that put pressure on the Champions League places. Dmitry Barinov made his first start since returning from a cruciate ligament injury before being replaced in the second half. 

Vitaly Lisakovich came off the bench to chest down a low cross for Zhemaletdinov to lash home a spectacular first-time effort into the top corner. The Railroaders have closed the gap to city rivals Spartak in second to just one point ahead of their visit to Rostov tomorrow.

Rotor remain 13th on 18 points, while Lokomotiv stay third on 43 points.
