Aleksandr Yardoshvili has died

On 13 April, Aleksandr Yardoshvili, the head doctor of Dynamo Moscow, died at the age of 66.

Aleksandr Eduardovich was an Honoured Doctor of Russia. He started working in football in 1980 when he became the head doctor at Chornomorets Odessa. At that time he was the youngest doctor of a professional team at 25 years old. In 1982, he joined Dynamo Moscow. After three years, he worked for the water polo team, and in 1987 he returned to football.

From 1992 to 2012 Yardoshvili was the head doctor at Lokomotiv, who during this time twice became RPL champions. In 1998, he was a member of the Russian national team staff. In 2012, he moved to CSKA, where he also twice won the RPL. In June 2016, he became the head doctor of Dynamo for the third time. He was a member of the medical council of the Russian Football Union.

The Russian Premier League expresses its deep and sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Aleksandr Eduardovich.
