Khvicha Kvaratskhelia named RPL Young Player of the Season for second year in a row

Rubin Kazan winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has won the award for best young player of the season in the RPL.

The voting to determine the winner was decided by the captains and head coaches of the RPL teams, the head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov and commentators from MATCH Premier TV channel. According to the results, the 20-year-old Georgian midfielder got 145 points and beat nearest challenger Arsen Zakharyan by 60 points.

Last season, Kvaratskhelia made 23 RPL appearances and scored four goals. Also, the midfielder became the leader of the season in the number of successful take-ons with 159.
