Here are the main results of this season’s Youth Championship.

CSKA were crowned as winners for the second time. The Army team won the title ahead of schedule after a 0-0 draw with Spartak on matchday 27.

Thanks to their 3-1 victory over CSKA and Spartak’s 2-1 defeat of Zenit on matchday 28, Krasnodar were runners up for the first time. They’d only previously finished in the top three once, in the 2017/18 season, when the Bulls won the trophy. Zenit rounded off the top three.

The championship’s top scorer was CSKA striker Ilya Vostrikov, who scored 17 goals in 26 matches.

The 2020/21 season was held in an updated format. In addition to the 16 youth teams of RPL clubs, four teams from the Youth Football League played in the championship. The youth championship was held in two stages. In the first part of the tournament, the clubs were divided into two groups of 10 teams on a geographical basis and played each other twice.

In the final stage, the top five teams from Group A faced the top five teams from Group B, and the bottom five teams from Group A played the bottom five teams from Group B. Overall, the tournament consisted of a total of 28 matchdays.
