On 2 June, five RPL players took part in friendly matches for their national teams.
Bosnia and Herzegovina 0-0 Montenegro
Rostov defender Denis Hadzikadunic was in Bosnia’s starting line-up and played the entire match. Rubin newcomer Sead Hakshabanovic played 80 minutes for Montenegro. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s next game will be held on 6 June against Denmark.
Norway 1-0 Luxembourg
Ural’s Stefan Strandberg played the full 90 minutes for Norway, while his compatriot Mathias Normann from Rostov remained on the bench. Norway scored the game’s only goal in added time. Norway will next play on 6 June against Greece.
Netherlands 2-2 Scotland
Spartak forward Quincy Promes came on in the 69th minute with the Dutch trailing 2-1, but the match ended in a 2-2 draw. On 6 June, the Netherlands will meet Georgia in a friendly, after which they will play at Euro 2020 in the same group with Ukraine, Austria and North Macedonia.
Romania 1-2 Georgia
Defender Solomon Kverkvelia, who spent last season at Rotor, was named in the starting line-up for Georgia. In the 64th minute, when his side were leading 1-0, Kverkvelia was sent off for a second yellow card. The teams exchanged goals in added time, leaving Georgia to claim a 2-1 victory. Another Rotor player, Zuriko Davitashvili, spent the entire match on the bench. On 6 June, Georgia will play the Netherlands in a friendly match.
