On 6 June, players from RPL teams played for their national teams in friendly matches.
Denmark 2-0 Bosnia and Herzegovina
Rostov defender Dennis Hadzikadunic played the full match against Denmark. They will play France in a 2022 World Cup qualifier on 1 September.
Netherlands 3-0 Georgia
Georgian winger Zuriko Davitashvili, who spent last season on loan in Rotor, came on against the Netherlands immediately after the break, when Georgia were losing 1-0. In the second half, the Dutch scored two more goals and won 3-0. Davitashvili's teammate Solomon Kverkvelia, who received a red card in the last match, was not used, while Spartak’s Dutch forward Quincy Promes remained on the bench.
Georgia will play Kosovo on 2 September in a World Cup qualifier, while the Netherlands will face Ukraine at Euro 2020 on 13 June, before also playing Austria and North Macedonia in the group stage.
Norway 1-2 Greece
Ural defender Stefan Strandberg scored his first goal for Norway in their game against Greece. The defender played the full 90 minutes. Another RPL representative, Rostov’s Mathias Normann, remained on the bench. Norway’s next match will be against the Netherlands on 1 September in World Cup qualification.
Serbia U-21 0-0 Russia U-21
Mikhail Galaktionov's team drew in a friendly match with Serbia. Their next game will be held on 3 September as part of qualification for the European Under-21 Championships when they take on Spain.
Belgium 1-0 Croatia
CSKA midfielder Nikola Vlasic came on in the 62nd minute, when his team was already 1-0 down. On 13 June, Croatia will play with England in their first match at Euro 2020. The Czech Republic and Scotland will also play in the same group. Belgium will face Russia at the Euros on 12 June.
