A solitary goal from CSKA Moscow’s star signing Anton Zabolotny was enough to give them the victory against FC Ufa. A product of the club’s youth academy, Zabolotny was signed on a free transfer from FC Sochi this year and scored off an Alan Dzagoev corner in the second half.

Ufa had been arguably the better side in the first half, but couldn’t cope with CSKA’s attacking quality in the second. In the end, this meant that club legend Aleksey Berezutsky started his managerial career with a deserved win.
