Zenit best Krasnodar amid frenzy of goals

Man of the Match: Sardar Azmoun (Zenit)

Zenit St. Petersburg managed to get one over Krasnodar once again thanks to a flurry of first half goals. Sardar Azmoun kept up his hot streak, starting the game off with a goal in the ninth minute. Armenian midfielder Eduard Spertsyan equalised through a free kick soon after but this was disallowed. 

New star signing Cordoba did make it 1-1, but Zenit scored twice in quick succession and rounded the victory for themselves. Krasnodar got a goal back late on, but it wasn't enough to make a difference.
