Karapuzov strikes lucky against parent club

A clever turn and shot from Valdisalv Karapuzov struck the post and rebounded in off the helpless back of Anton Shunin in what proved to be the crucial contribution. It was the culmination of a frantic three-minute burst that put Akhmat well in control after Daniil Utkin’s excellent free kick.

Sebastian Szymanski struck right after the break, and although Fabian Balbuena’s header struck the inside of the post in added time, Dynamo dropped their first points of the season.

Akhmat move up to seventh on six points, while Dynamo stay third on nine points.
