Russia U-21 squad announced for Euro 2023 qualifiers against Spain and Malta

The coaching staff of the Russia U-21 team have announced the list of players who will prepare for the Euro 2023 qualifiers against Spain and Malta.

Goalkeepers: Maksim Borisko (Baltika); Stanislav Agkatsev (Krasnodar); Ivan Budachev (Dynamo)

Defenders: Nikita Karmaev (Kuban), Alexander Kutitsky (Dynamo), Ruslan Litvinov (Spartak), Kirill Kravtsov (Zenit); Danila Prokhin (Sochi), Kirill Bolshakov (Olymp-Dolgoprudny); Daniil Khlusevich, Daniil Stepanov (both Arsenal); Kirill Bozhenov (Khimki), Aleksandr Silyanov (Lokomotiv)

Midfielders: Konstantin Maradishvili (CSKA), Aleksandr Chernikov (Krasnodar), Daniil Prutsev (Krylia Sovetov), Nail Umyarov, Mikhail Ignatov (both Spartak), Vladislav Karapuzov (Akhmat), Nikita Iosifov (Villarreal, Spain), Edgar Sevikyan (Levante, Spain)

Russia U-21s will start their Euro 2023 qualifiers on 3 September against Spain in Almendralejo at 21:45 MSK. On 7 September, Mikhail Galaktionov's team will host Malta at the Khimki Arena at 19:00 MSK.

Russia will play in Group C alongside Spain, Northern Ireland, Slovakia, Lithuania and Malta.

The final part of the Euros, which will be hosted by Romania and Georgia in the summer of 2023, will directly include nine group winners and the best runners-up. The remaining eight second-placed teams will enter the playoffs.
