Akhmat and Sochi have received warnings for their playing surfaces, while Rubin and Rostov have seen the certificates for their stadiums temporarily suspended.
Clubs should take measures to improve the quality of pitches and report them to the Russian Premier Liga. The RFU and RPL Commission for pitch inspections is concerned about the state of surfaces in the southern regions and the Volga region. To solve the problem, the RPL has brought in experts who will interact with stadium groundsmen and give appropriate recommendations.
According to the RPL regulations, arenas that have had their certificates temporarily suspended may be re-admitted to host RPL matches pending a positive conclusion of the RFU and RPL commission, which conducts inspections no later than 10 calendar days before the date of the corresponding match.
