Stalemate between Lokomotiv and Dynamo at the VTB Arena

Off the back of a victory against Krasnodar, Lokomotiv drew with city rivals Dynamo in their second Moscow derby of the season. Fedor Smolov scored his sixth goal of the season in the 23rd minute; a well placed strike in the bottom corner. Wonderkid Arsen Zakharyan made his presence felt again, and assisted Polish midfielder Szymanski for the equaliser just before half time.

Both sides made efforts to win the game in the second half, but couldn’t do so. Dmitry Barinov was sent off late in the game, and fortunately for Loko, it didn’t result in too much damage. French midfielder Alexis Beka Beka also made his debut for Loko, and seemed promising.
