UEFA Europa League Group E
Lokomotiv Moscow 1-1 Marseille
Thursday 16 September, RZD Arena
Goals: Lokomotiv - Anjorin 89'; Marseille - Under (pen) 57'
Sent off: Lokomotiv - Tiknizyan 57'
Tino Anjorin struck in the last minute with a peach of a strike to salvage a point for Lokomotiv, despite Nair Tiknizyan's sending off. The left back had conceded a penalty, which former Roma winger Cengiz Under smashed in.
Marseille had taken control of the early stages without finding a way through. In fact, arguably the first half's best chance fell to Fedor Smolov on the break, as he smashed a low shot off the inside of the near post.
The game pivoted just before the hour mark though, as Nair Tiknizyan was sent off for a second bookable offence for a challenge in the penalty area. Cengiz Under slammed the spot kick straight down the middle to break the deadlock.
Lokomotiv kick off the group second with Marseille ahead on head-to-head record - for now - with both sides on one point.
