Ponce pounces early to set Spartak on way to much-needed win

Ezequiel Ponce wasted no time at all putting Spartak in charge, latching onto a fine Zelimkhan Bakaev through ball to squirm his finds past Aleksandr Belenov. 

The Argentine forward moves on to four RPL goals for the season to make him Spartak's top scorer. 

Quincy Promes doubled the advantage just before the half-hour mark. The Dutchman was in the right place at the right time to snatch Zaurbek Pliev's sloppy pass, steady himself, and slide the ball carefully past Belenov. 

In the closing stages Aleksandr Lomovitsky had a golden chance to make it three, but his side footed effort hit the inside of the post. 

Spartak go eighth on 13 points, while Ufa drop to 13th on eight points.
