RFU and RPL Commission inspect Ak Bars Arena pitch

On 11 October, the RFU and RPL commission for assessing pitches visited the Ak Bars Arena stadium in Kazan.

In August, the certificate was temporarily suspended at the arena due to the unsatisfactory condition of the surface, and Rubin played home matches against Ural, Zenit and Nizhny Novgorod at the Centralny Stadium.

During this time, a complete renovation of the pitch was carried out at the Ak Bars Arena. On 8 October, a 2022 World Cup qualifier between Russia and Slovakia took place on the new surface. The RFU and RPL Commission noted that after the game stadium workers repaired damaged sections of the pitch. The inspection found it compliant with RPL Regulations and suitable for football matches.

The next game at Ak Bars Arena will take place on 16 October at 16:30 MSK as part of Matchday 11 of the RPL as Rubin host Lokomotiv.
