Late strikes add gloss as Dynamo through to knockouts

Dynamo held their nerve against former RPL side Orenburg in the Russian Cup Elite Round to go through to the knockout stages. 

Konstantin Tyukavin put the Muscovites in front after just eight minutes, and the source was a familiar one; fellow youth team graduate and top current RPL assist-maker, Arsen Zakharyan. 

His superb delivery from out wide found Tyukavin lurking at the back post for a simple close-range header.

Nikola Moro settled any late nerves with a second less than 10 minutes from time by bundling in after the ball had rebounded out to him, before Roman Evgenyev added the icing on the cake with a perfectly timed header from a Daniil Fomin corner.

Dynamo go through to the last 16, which is scheduled to take place from 1-3 March 2022.
