Cassierra to the double as Sochi squeeze past stubborn Arsenal

It took no time at all for Sochi to make the breakthrough in Tula, as a sweeping move teed up Mateo Cassierra for a straight-forward finish into an open goal from a yard out. Christian Noboa dinked the ball delicately over 

The Kangwa brothers combined to draw Arsenal level in simple fashion. Kings collected a high header out of defence on the left flank, and swung in a whipped cross towards the six-yard area. Evans flicked on a header with his back to goal, placing it tantalisingly inside the far post.

Cassierra wasn’t done though, and with 10 minutes left his poacher’s instinct saw him lose Ivan Novoseltsev’s attentions to turn in Ibragim Tsallagov’s cutback for his fifth goal of the season.

Arsenal remain 14th on 12 points, while Sochi go third on 24 points.
