CSKA Moscow 0-0 Khimki
Sunday 21 November, VEB Arena
Sent off: CSKA - Bruno Fuchs 15’
Man of the Match: Reziuan Mirzov (Khimki)
Bruno Fuchs’ troubled CSKA career continued when the Brazilian was sent off just 12 minutes into his first league start - over a year since he signed for the club - leaving the Armymen to play almost the entire match reduced to 10 men.
His contact on Kemal Ademi gave the visitors a penalty, which the Swiss striker took himself. Unfortunately for Khimki, his spot kick was poor as he hit it wide of the post.
The game was dominated by Khimki largely, with Mario Fernandes clearing a Reziuan Mirzov shot off the line 10 minutes before the break.
Even deep into added time, Khimki had a chance to snatch all three points, but they were denied by a full-stretch fingertip save from Igor Akinfeev
CSKA stay sixth on 24 points, while Khimki edge back up to 15th on 13 points.
