Zenit midfielder Wilmar Barrios played his 50th match for Colombia after starting the match, before he was replaced in added time. He has been playing for his national team since 2016.
In the South American qualification group, Colombia drop to sixth place on 17 points, as Peru jump up to fourth on 20 points. On the night of 1-2 February Moscow time, Colombia will meet Argentina on the road, and Peru will host Ecuador.
The first four sides in the South American qualifying group will qualify directly for the 2022 World Cup Finals, while the fifth-placed side will enter the intercontinental play-off matches.
