Russia national team squad announced for training camp in Moscow

The coaching staff of the Russian national team, headed by Valery Karpin, have confirmed the list of 27 players who will be called up to the training camp which starts in Moscow on 21 March.

Goalkeepers: Matvey Safonov (Krasnodar), Anton Shunin (Dynamo Moscow), Aleksandr Selikhov (Spartak Moscow)

Defenders: Georgy Dzhikia (Spartak Moscow), Kirill Zaika, Sergey Terekhov (both Sochi), Maksim Osipenko (Rostov), Danil Krugovoy, Aleksey Sutormin, Dmitry Chistyakov (all Zenit St. Petersburg), Ilya Samoshnikov (Rubin Kazan), Igor Diveev (CSKA Moscow)

Midfielders: Dmitry Barinov, Rifat Zhemaletdinov (both Lokomotiv Moscow), Vladislav Sarveli, Anton Zinkovsky (both Krylia Sovetov Samara), Arsen Zakharyan, Daniil Fomin (both Dynamo Moscow), Aleksey Ionov (Krasnodar), Daler Kuzyaev, Andrey Mostovoy, Aleksandr Erokhin (all Zenit St. Petersburg), Zelimkhan Bakaev (Spartak Moscow), Daniil Glebov (Rostov)

Forwards: Fedor Smolov (Dynamo Moscow), Anton Zabolotny (CSKA Moscow), Ivan Sergeev (Zenit Saint Petersburg)

Due to the Russian Premier Liga matchday 22 fixtures being moved forward back to 19 and 20 March, it was decided to hold a training camp in Moscow from 21 to 27 March.

A detailed schedule including friendly matches is being worked out and will be published in due course.
