Lokomotiv Moscow 1-0 Spartak Moscow
Saturday 2 April, RZD Arena
Goal: Lokomotiv - Isidor 85'
Man of the Match: Daniil Khudyakov (Lokomotiv)
After an hour's delay to clear the snow of the RZD Arena pitch, the derby finally got underway in scrappy conditions.
Perhaps it was appropriate, then, that the net was found in messy circumstances. After a cat-and-mouse first half of few clear chances, Quincy Promes thought he'd given Spartak the lead a few minutes before the break after squeezing the ball round Daniil Khudyakov after being played through.
Mark Mampassi slid on the line in desperation but could only manage to help the trickling ball over the line. A VAR review ruled the goal out, however, for a narrow Promes offside.
After the break Lokomotiv again needed a goal line clearance to stay level, and this time had no offside call to back them up. Aleksandr Sobolev attempted an improvised touch to Danil Khlusevich's cross under pressure from Dmitry Zhivoglyadov, leaving the Lokomotiv defender scrambling to hack the bobbling ball clear with inches to spare.
Just as Spartak appeared in control, Lokomotiv struck through Wilson Isidor - the Frenchman hit a stunning effort from outside the area for the fourth goal in his first four RPL games. Not only did he claim local bragging rights for Lokomotiv, he also became just the second foreigner in RPL history to start with such a scoring streak - after Yusuf Yazici achieved the same last matchday.
Lokomotiv stay go fifth on 37 points, while Spartak remain 10th on 27 points.
