RFU allows Russian coaches with UEFA A license to work as head coaches until end of the season

print version

On 4 April, a meeting of the Russian Football Union Executive Committee bureau was held.

The Bureau has allowed Russian coaches with a coaching license not lower than the UEFA A category to serve as head coach until the end of the 2021/22 season if the contract with a foreign coach was terminated or suspended after 23 February. The decision concerns Russians who started working for the club before 23 February.

As of 4 April, the only Russian coach with a category A license heading an RPL team is Aleksandr Storozhuk from Krasnodar, who has been working at the club since November 2019, previously coaching the youth and second teams.
