In the previous five matches between the teams in RPL Sochi had never lost any, earning four wins and one draw. Nevertheless the first strike was made by Akhmat thanks to Lechi Sadulaev, who broke through the defense and scored his first goal in this season.
The visitors kept one-goal lead, but in the first 15 minutes after the break Sochi turned the game upside down. Firstly, Mateo Cassierra find the ball with his head scoring his tenth goal, and four minutes later Artur Yusupov beat Vitaly Gudiev with the shot to the far post. Then Senin Sebai entered the pitch, and it took seven minutes for the striker to find an equaliser.
As game reached the final minutes of the regular time, Sergey Terekhov supported the attack and with one touch scored a game-winner from the centre of the box. An ideal match for the Sochi left-back, as he earned an assist, a goal and a man of the match prize, while his team continued a streak against Akhmat with five wins and one draw after six meetings.
Sochi go third on 46 points, while Akhmat stay eighth on 32 points.
