Dynamo Moscow 2-3 Ural Ekaterinburg
Saturday 30 April, VTB Arena
Goals: Dynamo - Zakharyan (7), N’Jie (80); Ural - Bicfalvi (28, 67), Miskic (31)
Man of the Match: Eric Bicfalvi (Ural)
When the action began at VTB Arena, the game was fully under the hosts control. Two corner kicks near the Ily Pomazun net in the first seven minutes, and the second one led to the first goal, after Arsen Zakharyan took a rebound and smashed outside the box in the left corner.
The score could became much worse for the visitors, there were five attempts from Dynamo players to increase the lead in the first 20 minutes. But things changed dramatically, when Ural scored two goals in three minutes in the similar style. Firstly Eric Bicfalvi beat Anton Shunin in the top corner, and later Danijel Miskic repeated from another side of the box.
Bicfalvi’s performance continued in the second half, when he put the ball in the top corner again. It helped Eric to score his eighth goal this season and tie his best result in RPL. Schwarz used his substitutes to put fresh attacking players on the field, and Clinton N’Jie brought hope with ten minutes to play after scoring from distance. Ural kept the win and stepped closer to Khimki, while Dynamo’s chances to get the title mostly blew away, as Zenit’s win over Lokomotiv will make St. Petersburg side champions again.
Dynamo remain second on 52 points, while Ural stay 14th on 27 points.
