Dynamo Moscow 3-0 Alania Vladikavkaz
Russian Cup Semi-final
Tuesday 10 May, VTB Arena
Goals: Dynamo - Smolov (22), Zakharyan (48), Tyukavin (88)
Sent off: Alania - Shavlokhov (73)
For the first time since 2012 Dynamo entered the final match of the national Cup, getting a chance to win the first trophy since 1995, when the White-Blues lifted the same Cup at Luzhniki. Previously beating three RPL teams, Alania could not find an answer to Dynamo, making just one shot on target in the second half.
Fedor Smolov opened the score in the counter-attack, getting the assist from Denis Makarov. When the second half started, Smolov stole the ball from the defender and gave it to Arsen Zakharyan to increase the lead. Smolov was replaced with Konstantin Tyukavin, and he was a hero in two episodes. He was fouled by David Shavlokhov, it cost Alania defender a straight red card, and in the final minutes Tyukavin technically beat Rostislav Soldatenko to score the third goal.
Dynamo Moscow will face the winner of Spartak Moscow vs Enisey Krasnoyarsk in the Final, to be held at the Luzhniki on 29 May.
