Igor Akinfeev becomes RPL best goalkeeper of the season

CSKA captain Igor Akinfeev became the RPL best goalkeeper of the season making most clean sheets.

In the 2021/22 season, the 36-year-old goalkeeper played 29 games in RPL completing 13 clean sheets. Akinfeev became the best in this stat for the seventh time in his entire career in the RPL. In the course of the season, the captain of CSKA became the Russian Championship record holder playing most games in the tournament - by the end of the season their number reached 514.

Ilya Lantratov from Khimki and Ivan Lomaev from Krylya Sovetov also made the top three goalkeepers in clean sheets getting nine each.
