Orenburg get promotion with late goal in Ufa

Away goal rule gave Ufa some advantage, as 0-0 or 1-1 draw could keep them in the RPL for one more season. Orenburg scored again from the set piece, this time team best striker Joel Fameye netted from the rebound, as the ball ricocheted twice from Ufa defenders. The hosts took control and started making attempts one by one, and in the final minutes of the first half Yury Zhuravlev tipped with his head and made the score tied, meaning that Ufa get enough result for saving its place in the league.

The second half was more about yellow cards that the goal attempts, there were eight cards giving to the participants including Ufa head coach Aleksey Stukalov. The manager even left the bench, as the injury time started, and he was getting more nervous. The most heartbreaking moment came later, when Kirill Kaplenko sent the long ball to the box, and Orenburg captain Andrey Malykh shot straight into the right corner to bring RPL back in Orenburg.

After surviving the matchday 30 fixture against Rubin, when the opponents did not score the penalty in the final minutes, Ufa was beaten with the late goal, so their eight-year adventure in the league has been ended. Orenburg will participate in RPL for the first time since 2019/20 season.
