St. Petersburg becomes host city for 2022 Super Cup

RPL champions Zenit and Russian Cup winners Spartak will play for Super Cup at Gazprom Arena.

The venue was confirmed on 10 June at RFU Executive Committee Bureau meeting. Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod were also candidates to become a host city.

This will be second time, when St. Petersburg will organize the Super Cup. In 2015 the match was held at Petrovsky Stadium, as Zenit beat Lokomotiv in penalty shoot-out.

Zenit vs Spartak is scheduled at Gazprom Arena on Saturday 9 July with kick-off time and tickets sales to be confirmed later.
