2022/23 RPL season to kick off on 17 July

On 10 June, the RFU Executive Committee Bureau approved the RPL new season calendar’s structure.

Matchday 1 fixtures are planned to play on 17 July. The first part of the season will end on 13 November, as the World Cup finals are scheduled in Qatar at the end of the year. RPL will resume on 4-5 March, while matchday 30 fixtures are planned on 3 June.

16 teams will play in the new season, the championship will consist of two legs.
