Vladimir Fedotov began his CSKA career meeting his native side, as he worked for Ural both as player and coach. Milan Gajic also made a debut for the Armymen with Konstantin Kuchaev and Fedor Chalov coming back in the squad from loans. The only newcomer in the visitors starting 11 was Fanil Singatulin, youngster loaned from Spartak Moscow.

It was total dominance from the hosts in the first half, as they earned 15 attempts, and only Ivan Oblyakov’s shot found the net just before the break. New CSKA №10 celebrated joking on previous holder Alan Dzagoev, who missed most games in the past season due to injuries.

Ilya Pomazun came to Ural on another loan from CSKA, and after multiple saves in the first 45 minutes he made an error fouling Jorge Carrascal in his box. First penalty of the season was taken by Colombian, and he converted it into goal. Two more guys marked first games for Ural, as Aleksey Kashtanov and Igor Konovalov entered the pitch for the final 20 minutes.
