Third win in a row came to Spartak after they beat the worst team of the opening matchdays at its home. The visitors scored both goals in the first half, and each was assisted by Aleksandr Sobolev. Firstly, he beat Ivan Kuzmichev with dribble and provided Quincy Promes to score the fourth goal this season, so the Dutch tied Fedor Smolov and Eduard Spertsyan as RPL top scorer.
Second assist was got by Mikhail Ignatov, who went on the pitch ten minutes earlier as a substitute to injured Victor Moses and scored his first league goal in almost four years. Spartak surpassed Ural with 26 shots and 11 of them went on target, while the hosts had just 12 shots and four on target.
Spartak kept on top with 10 points, while Ural continued their worst RPL start ever staying bottom without any points.
