Akhmat were the first opponents for Nikolay Pisarev at his debut as Khimki head coach. Meanwhile Andrey Talalaev returned, as his suspension expired, but he preferred to watch the first half from the tribune. From there he saw two goals made by his side. First one came from former Khimki players, Mohamed Konate provided the ball to Aleksandr Troshechkin, who scored second time this season. Before the half time it was Anton Shvets burying the ball after the corner kick and getting his first goal since February 2021.
First goal in Pisarev era Khimki scored thanks to Aleksandr Lomovitsky, who got assist from Aleksandr Rudenko. In the final minutes Ilya Lantratov came twice into the box to help his team during set pieces, but it ended with counter-attack, where Artem Timofeev scored into the empty net. Miroslav Bogosavac earned an assist there and also MOTM award, as he also produced the first goal running with the ball trough the opponents before providing it to Konate and Troshechkin.
Akhmat past Khimki in the standings moving to eighth on eight points, while the Red-Blacks go down to ninth on seven points.
