Man of the Match: Eduard Spertsyan (Krasnodar)
Since MD 3 Krasnodar have been unstoppable in the RPL, at Arena Khimki they reached their fourth win in the last five fixtures. First half hero was Eduard Spertsyan, who broke the deadlock after running in the box and sending the ball past Egor Baburin, one of the former Bulls in Torpedo roster. Next time Spertsyan scored was the free-kick, when he shot straight into the top corner. The Black-Whites were close to end the half with their goal, but Denis Laptev was unlucky, as his shot was saved by center back Sergey Borodin.
Jhon Cordoba increased the lead after the break scoring the header. Matvey Safonov kept three clean sheets in a row before the trip to Khimki, and this streak reached the end after Nikita Krivtsov scored an own goal. Three-goal advantage was restored, when Ilzat Akhmetov’ shot crossed the line after hitting two posts in the final minutes of the match.
Krasnodar reach third on 14 points, while Torpedo still in the relegation zone alongside Ural.
