Two top-5 sides met at Rostov Arena, but they gave the only goalless match in the whole matchday. Teams were nearly tied on total attempts, Rostov had one more than CSKA, but earned the same four shots on goal. They exchanged the big moments in the end of the match. Igor Akinfeev saved two dangerous long shots from Danill Utkin, while Adolfo Gaich tried to score from sharp angle, but Sergey Pesyakov alongside his defenders did not allow the ball to cross the line.

CSKA tied with Krasnodar on 14 points, Rostov go seventh having one point less.
