Torpedo never won in any official matches since the season started, while Rostov avoided any losses both in RPL and Russian Cup. Hosts keeper Egor Baburin, loaned from Rostov, was on fire at Arena Khimki, as he faced nine shots on target, while the total number of Yellow-Blues shots reached 25. Another loaned player Maksim Turischev came on in the second half replacing former Rostov Igor Lebedenko.
Confusion started in the added time, when Nikolay Komlichenko was dropped in the box, and Rostov got penalty. Egor Golenkov took the shot, and Baburin saved, but referee saw, Torpedo goaltender went over the goal line, so the penalty needed to be taken again. Komlichenko himself went to the spot, and Baburin saved again, but broke the laws again. Nervous Black-Whites were booked three times in this situation, and the total number of yellow cards for them was ten. Rostov changed the shooter again, and Maksim Osipenko successfully used the attempt, when the ninth added minute was going.
Rostov go sixth on 16 points, while Torpedo stay 15th with one point.
