It took nine matches for Fakel to take their first win in the RPL after comeback. Team hosted Lokomotiv with interim head coach Dmitry Pyatibratov, former assistant was appointed after Oleg Vasilenko parted ways with the club. Meanwhile Lokomotiv moved Marvin Kompper from the coaching staff giving the full control to Josef Zinnbauer.
Fakel scored again after set piece, four players hit the ball with their heads, the latest of them Evgeny Morozov scored the goal, a special one for the defender, who came to Voronezh on loan from Lokomotiv. Second goal came in the second half with skills of Irakly Kvekveskiri, who passed Tin Edvaj in the box and sent the ball to the far corner. Both players scored in the RPL for the first time and gave their team long-waited win in the Russian top division. The previous one was got in October 2001 against Krylia Sovetov also at home field.
Fakel come back on 14th place with seven points, while Lokomotiv go 11th on nine points.
