RPL General Meeting decisions on 12 September

The general meeting of RPL clubs considered possible changes to the RPL regulations and the schedule of RPL and Russian Cup matches.

The clubs supported the proposal of the RFU and voted in favor of optimizing the regulation of the procedure for compiling the calendar. Several options for changing the rules of the championship were considered.

The option approved by the majority of the clubs means that the league calendar must be adopted by the general meeting of the League and approved by the RFU executive committee (Bureau of the executive committee), and the schedule of matchdays (dates and kick-off times of matches) can be determined by the RPL administration.

On the second question, most clubs supported the extension of the first part of the season by rescheduling matches of the Group Stage Matchdays 5 & 6 in the Russian Cup (RPL path) after November 20 in connection with two scheduled matches of the Russian national team.

The new dates of Cup Matchdays 5 & 6 will be determined later.
