Eduard Spertsyan continued impacting Krasnodar and after facing Khimki tied Quincy Promes on most goals scored and most points got from goals and assists. The Armenian started the game with technical play, which led him to eighth goal in the season, so he tied his last season stats on goals. Later in the first half Spertsyan provided an assist, which was turned into goal by Nikita Krivtsov and his header. Previously this season Eduard got both goal and assist in away win against Ural.
Khimki manager Spartak Gogniev faced his old club, where he spent two years as a player, and had hope to escape with some point, when Ilya Kukharchuk scored with his knee from Denis Glushakov’s assist. One-goal advantage had been keeping till the added time, and Maksim Kutovoy was the first on rebound to score the final goal of the meeting and his first in the RPL.
Krasnodar tied CSKA on 20 points, but go fourth, as they lost to the Armymen 1-4, while Khimki stay 13th with eight points.
