Orenburg went on holidays with away win against Pari NN, and earlier this week they made a powerful comeback against Dynamo in the Russian Cup, after trailing 0-2 and having ten men they got a win in the penalty shootout. Marcel Licka’s side started against Sochi with dominance, Timur Ayupov broke the deadlock, when four minutes passed since the kick-off. Gabriel Florentin made Orenburg standing firm after scoring the second from the interception and opening personal score in the Russian League. Struggles for Sochi continued, when Moussa Sissako was sent off for the foul against Vladimir Sychevoy near the net. Sychevoy himself scored the penalty and celebrated it in romantic way making the proposal to his girlfriend and getting the acceptation.
Orenburg extended their lead to four goals from another penalty, this time Jimmy Marin was the taker and scorer. Ten men Sochi were far from repeating Orenburg comeback from the Cup, but they found the way to net thanks to 19-year-old Timofey Shipunov, his strike to the bottom corner brought him first ever RPL goal. This victory became the biggest for Orenburg in RPL.
Orenburg move to eighth with 15 points, while Sochi stay sixth on 17 points.
