Chalov makes two goals to defeat Khimki

Last visit at Arena Khimki for CSKA took place in April, and it ended with first ever loss to Khimki. This time the Armymen get an early lead, Fedor Chalov made a breakthrough to the net, and after he sent the ball near Ilya Lantratov, Bryan Idowu tried to save the shot, but scored the own goal. Next Chalov attempt became his clear goal, he was the first one on the rebound, after Lantratov saved the shot from Konstantin Kuchaev.

Those were the final minutes for Khimki keeper, as Vitaly Gudiev started in the net after half-time playing in the RPL for the first time since leaving Akhmat. Reziuan Mirzov and Ilya Kukharchuk also joined the game in the second half, while Denis Glushakov left on the bench. The Red-Blacks got one goal in the end of the second half from Butta Magomedov’s header and tried to storm for the equalizer, but the four added minutes were not enough for it.

Before Sunday clash between Zenit and Rostov, CSKA go to second with 23 points, while Khimki still 13th on eight points.
