In the previous seasons CSKA and Dynamo got home wins in the derby, this time the Armymen could not continue this streak. Willian Rosha gave his team the lead after scoring the header, that was his first RPL goal and second for CSKA in total. Fedor Chalov was awarded with a goal in the last match against Khimki, but in the derby team’s top scorer missed some big attempts, in the first half first shot was saved by Anton Shunin, next one went near the net.
Luck turned to Dynamo in the attack, when Kirill Nababkin could not push the ball from the box, and Fedor Smolov momently get it and scored finishing his goalless streak, which lasted since July. Second half collected more missed chances from CSKA, Shunin saved again after Chalov’s powerful shot, and Milan Gajic sent the ball above the empty corner. Dynamo were near scoring too, Konstantin Tyukavin came from the bench and went through the box but could not beat Igor Akinfeev. If CSKA win, they would cut the Zenit advantage to four points but it kept on six points.
CSKA stay second with 24 points waiting for Spartak and Rostov fixtures on Sunday, while Dynamo keep eighth on 17 points.
