For eight years Krasnodar never lost in derby against Rostov in RPL, and the Bulls made the step to extend the streak very quickly. Just nine seconds after kick-off Olakunle Olusegun beat Sergey Pesyakov from distance and reached RPL history as a scorer of the fastest goal. During next minutes Rostov earned several free kicks, and former Bull Daniil Utkin took them, but two shots were saved by his old friend Matvey Safonov, while another went wide. Krasnodar used their moment to get two-goal lead, when Jhon Cordoba was lost by defenders, and the Colombian made perfect shot.
When the second half started, the guests made great attempt to score the third, but Aleksandr Silyanov saved the ball near the goal line with his head. Few moments later Silyanov joined the attack, and his header brought Rostov back in the game. Another former Bull Nikolay Komlichenko forced Caio to make the foul in the box, so penalty was given, and Brazilian defender was sent off, as he earned second yellow card. Dmitry Poloz easily tied the game from the spot and having one-man advantage Rostov used it later. Danil Glebov made the pass to Aleksey Mironov with heel, and after midfielder shot Safonov could not fix the ball, as it went under him. After 16-game streak without wins Rostov finally defeat Krasnodar in RPL.
Rostov come back to second with 25 points and leave Spartak behind due to 4-2 win in head-to-head, while Krasnodar stay fifth on 21 points.
