Two sides from bottom four met at Khimki, and Spartak Gogniev surprised with replacing Ilya Lantratov as main goalkeeper, Vitaly Gudiev made first start in this RPL season. The goalie had more job to deal with, than his opponent Ilya Svinov, and faced first shot on target at third minute of play. Gudiev saved Khimki six times, while Svinov made the same two times, and in total both teams produced 31 shots, but remained goalless. Khyzyr Appaev scored once in the second half, but referees cancelled it, as there was offside, and next attempt big forward missed by hitting the post.

As Lokomotiv won the parallel derby at Luzhniki, Fakel drop to 14th with 11 points, while Khimki stay 15th on nine points.
