Spartak enter winter break as second with derby win

Spartak started their unbeaten streak defeating Lokomotiv at home and visit to RZD Arena helped them to keep this form. Quincy Promes suffered a tackle from Daniil Khudyakov and took penalty himself to score 14th goal this season. Later Danil Prutsev’s volley extended the lead and brought him first goal in RPL career. Wilson Isidor, winning goal scorer in April derby at Lokomotiv Stadium, marked his appearance with another derby goal redirecting Dmitry Barinov’s cross, but Spartak advantage stood firm. For the first time in ten years the Red-Whites won all league meetings against the Railwaymen.

Spartak go second with 36 points and stay six points behind Zenit, while Lokomotiv stand 14th with 13 points.
