Two months past since Fakel and Zenit meeting in RPL, when Malcom’s goal brought to leaders just a draw. Now the St. Petersburg top scorer made the result in Cup fixture. He started the game on the bench and came to the pitch after the half-time, and moments after the first second-half whistle he caught a pass from Mateo Cassierra, beat Aleksey Gorodovoy and opened the score. In the end Malcom scored again and did it with little confusion, as the ball pushed by Danil Krugovoy touched Brazilian’s leg and reached the net.

Winning in Voronezh Zenit kept themselves in the race for the first place, while Fakel lost any chances to qualify for play-offs.
