Lovren & Croatia go to World Cup semifinals eliminating Brazil

Zenit defender Dejan Lovren participated in the World Cup quarterfinals with Croatia national team meeting Brazil.

Lovren made the starting 11 for the fifth time in a row this tournament and again played whole match. 90 minutes of regular time teams ended in goalless draw, while during extra time they produced one goal each through Neymar opening the score and Bruno Petkovic equalizing in the final minutes. The penalty shootout, second for Croatians in Qatar, ended with European team win 4-2.

Croatia reached World Cup semifinals third time in history and second time in a row. Their next opponent will be the winner of Netherlands vs Argentina match. Croatians’ semifinal will take place on 13 December.
