Lovren & Croatia lose to Argentina in World Cup semis

Zenit defender Dejan Lovren with Croatia national team faced Argentina in 2022 World Cup semi-finals in Qatar.

Lovren played full 90 minutes, while his side was beaten 0-3 by Argentinians. Lionel Messi broke the deadlock through penalty, then Julian Alvarez scored winning brace.

Croatia will go to the third-place play-off, where they will meet runner-up from France vs Morocco semi-final. Bronze-medal match will take place on Saturday, 17 December. Last time Croatia won third place was 1998.
